Perhaps it is suggesting she is a DEI hire, I don't know if that would be appropriate, but it very well might be, calling someone a racist doesn't necessarily make the case it isn't so, but I wasn't clear if it was merely alluding to the fact she was a staunch DEI advocate who has resisted Trump's efforts to dissolve those initiatives despite that Americans overwhelmingly favor Trump's endeavors to do so:

In what world is a an official who was elected by voters (aka won on merit with the public at the polls) a DEI hire? Same as Harris. That makes no sense, but here we are with doing gymnastics to try and justify it.

Take it up with Joy Reid then. She's the one who called it "wonderfully poetic" that DEI prosecutors were the ones going after Trump, and suggested that they would not have gotten into their law schools if Trump had been there to get rid of DEI admissions, and they are all very clear advocates for DEI programs.

This was why I assumed the DEI did not refer to her realization of her position, although not knowing the specifics of her background, as with any other official in another state, I cannot assume that the person didn't ascend to their position by appointment following an evacuation of the position by a predecessor, or something similar.

1) whitecollarfraud.com being the only shitty source reporting this news should have given you pause
2) the potential "fraud" is: James applied for a mortgage on a Virginia property a few years back and listed on the application that it would eventually become the primary residence. Should James not eventually make this property her primary residence, then if you could show the terms of the mortgage (which was for 90% at the standard industry rate), was somehow more favorable because she listed it as a primary residence, and didn't ultimately use it as such, then this would constitute fraud.

If #2 seems too dumb to follow, well that's because it's bullshit. Obvious bullshit that makes no sense.
