Defriended a guy for this stunt [fantasy hockey]

So I had this idiot friend, let's call him Dan. Dan doesn't have many friends due to his narrcistic personality. The guy is fairly successful[ I make more] and is all for himself. One time I was happy I won 500 bucks and instead of being happy for me he said he won 5000. [Ya right] You may not like him already but I always defended this clown to all his haters.. Any way he starts some fantasy sports hockey league. He has a good team than trades Kesler, Hossa Lecaviler and J Williams for Getzlaf Stamkos and Shea Weber with his brother in a sweethear move!!. The worst most one sided trade ever. Still I say little.he boasts all year, brags about his managing skills. Finally its the eve of the playoffs. He's been spewing puss about how his team is stacked he"s superior I suck, etc. We are heads up this week and he just took the lead. So I text him and say look who finally piped up. He goes off saying I need to bet him who wins if I don't I'm scared, although he's up, insults my team and skills and more. I then tell him he's the worst fantasy manager ever and a terrible person. I say after this league is done I'm never doing another league with him. So he boots me from the league! My team ends up beating him for the weekly match up and someone took over my team for the playoffs. I had the best heads up record before it started. The more I think about this fool the more I'm so glad I've cut him off for good. Who needs a fuckhead like him in your social circle. Would you keep a guy like him around?

I know a guy who is a very successful athlete. He's one of my longest lasting friendships, but his ego and maturity have gotten out of hand over the last couple years. I'll always thank him for helping turn my life around through moral support and encouragement to re-pursue athletics, but his personality has certainly taken a toll on our friendship.

It's easy to stick up for people and feel like the bad guy for awhile, but eventually you gotta realize enough is enough and stay true to your morals.

Meh. For long stretches of that Islanders series they looked poor. Still, the Penguins should in all likelihood beat the Senators in less than 6. The Bruins are a difficult matchup in the conference final.
