This is Bethe's fight to lose, lots of circling and jabbing could ward off the inevitable for maybe a round or two though. I think Holm would be the best opponent to try that gameplan out on Rousey, keep her at bay with jabs and quick low kicks while avoiding the clinch at all cost. Even then though there is a good chance Rousey eventually ties her opponent up and does what she does.
Someone with good striking and a killer TDD. As far as the takedown defense goes, strength is a given. However, a good strafe or a sidestep out of her clinch like Machida used to do when he used strategy. I guess that requires quickness and excellent footing. All that adds up to fighter that doesn't exist. I would say Cyborg but her grappling remains a mystery for the most part.
It's gonna take a lot more than jabs, obliques, and circling. Holm lacks power, her fights look like a sparring session, and couldn't keep out of Pennington's clinch. Without better grappling to defend in the clinch or legit power the jab and run tactic simply won't work. Plus, Ronda has worked solid power punches and knees into her attack. Ronda is big, strong, and athletic and packs serious heat in her right hand. It's not as simple as running away. You have to deal with her hands, knees, and sociopathic forward aggression-- Rousey is a predator always on the attack.
Yeah I'm aware, didn't say it would work just said that Holm has the best skillset to go for a gameplan like that, Ronda still eventually does her thing though.

Not literally running, guy. Constant circling out and sidestepping to avoid clinching.. Holm got clinched the fuck up badly by Pennington. Have you watched boxing? Clinching is beyond commonplace and Holm was no exception. Seeing that boxing is her vase discipline that is a huge hole to close. Holm is unimpressive as fuck and at her age with ~45 pro fights she's not getting any better.
