Where do you guys stand on the whole legality of dope issue?

If pot was legal, um yea I'd smoke it. I don't know about other drugs though. I've dipped into almost everything out there and had good and not good experiences with them. I know that most of that shit can really fuck someone up so I doubt I'd do any drug except smoke some dope.
 
i have tried pretty much everything, but as long as it doesnt effect my stamina, i am down to do it occasionally.
 
pot isnt really that bad. its not addictive like cigarettes or alcohol and you cant OD on pot unless its laced with somethin. with alcohol you can get alcohol poisining and die. pot doesnt do anything like that to you. i think pot should be legalized. first of all if it was legalized and it was manufactured by companies there wouldnt be any risk that it would be laced with anything ya know? anyways when was the last time you heard something about a high driver hitting somone and killing them? its always alcohol that gets people killed....... not pot.
 
and another thing. if pot and other drugs were legalized and manufactured by companies there would be less drug dealers which would cut down on crime and other things. there would be less killings over drugs and just less crime over drugs.
 
All drugs are bad for you but who cares, Fast food is probably worst. Legalize everything, let the idiots die and stop the overpopulation.
 
Well... what i do now is drink! Im underage so i guess that is legal, im one badass mother fucker though!
Tell you what though, friday night i went off with some friends and they were smokeing weed. Of course Newhamie is not going to pass up a night of drinking and smokeing on the beach so i took acouple of hits. Then my friend steve repacked it and i took some more... well after i was done he started to laugh and told me he put crystal on it! That was some crazy shit! :D i didnt get to bed till 6in the morning and i had work the next day. It made me hyper as hell bla bla bla... leading to nowhere....
So yup i think we all know the reason for underage drinking,
as for weed... i dont smoke much now but if it was legal i prob would smoke the same. I dont think it is too good though, i tend to get sleepy of the wakey tabakie. I have done crystal and coke before and wouldnt touch them again. Really really good times when i tried them, but i dont want to have mush for brains. Humm, i smoked oil... not to good... like ultra high. I will never shoot up. I did Extasy acouple times (2) and it was a blast but... same a coke, i dont want to become more of a dumb shit! :D

good points all around and I agree......here's my short-term plan legalize drugs, stop welfare, and march down death row with 2 AR-15's with the safety's off and bring mother earth back to normal capacity.
 
Weed is the only thing that should be made legal. Everything else can be really dangerous.
 
Make it legal, at least it would be better quality and about 10x cheaper. You can get it no prob anyway so what's the point.

1)Actually it is only a popular myth that marijuana is non-addictive.
2)Pot can actually trigger scizophrenic episodes in an esimated 1 in 1000 people.
3)Driving whilst stoned is as fucked up and irrisponsible as drink driving.
4)Pot should be legal because then a government can implement a policy of harm minimisation rather that focus on procecuting users.

Not meaning to pick on you scat but the reality is that any drug you take has an element of danger, infact on a more rediculous note you can even OD on water--drink approx 20 litres in an hour should do it depending on you size. I do agree with you point that alcohol is certainly worse than pot in many ways particularly its social impact.

1) I disagree: There have been government medical studies in past two years from British & Canadian governements which have shown canabis to be non addictive (That is in a physical sense. After all people can become addicted to anything psychologically, it's not the same thing)
2) I'm not sure of your stats of 1 in a 1000, but there is definitely the danger of a psychological episode on cannabis.
3) I totally agree, anything that influences decision making and reactions should be taken in safe environments.
4) I agree, and would add the same could be said of other, more harmful, drugs

What makes you think it would be cheaper if it was legal? If you compare comparitive prices over the last 15 years of both legal and illegal drugs (in the UK as that is my frame of reference)

It's strange really, I used to smoke alot of hash and weed, but I've quit for the past couple of years, and feel a lot better because of it. The intesting thing is, now that I'll be near amsterdam for the coming year, I won't even think of hitting a hash bar, while in the past, that was my dream. lol!
 
The reason for the heavy taxes on alcohol and tobacco tend to be because of the expected long term cost of a drinker or smoker to society. And because they can :D
