Music industry is very effed up. 360 deals, and those reality Xfactor show deals are criminal. Even if you lose the show, your contractly obliged to fork over future profits of your music.

That being said, 2 wrongs don't make a right. All because the music industry is fucked, that doesn't mean mma has to follow the same path.. Rihanna make 0.1% on CD's, but makes a killing on tour. You can't say the same about UFC fighters that signed there likeness rights away. They can't even press there own tshirts without getting sued.

In the NBA, they can sell 20 million LeBron James jerseys and 200 jerseys for some random bench warmer. Guess what? That bench warmer gets just as much money from those sales as LeBron.

And how many people are buying CD's now a days? 1 million used to be the standard. Now you're lucky to sell 100k first week.

I worked at concerts for years....and that is comical to think that musicians got all the money from shirt sales.
