I have to skip lower body this week. Ankle hurts a lot. I was already feeling it from my 10 minute warm up walk. Usually I don't mind the pain and even kind of get off on testing myself but this is different. This feels like if I try to squat it will give out and I'll fall. I don't want that. It almost feels like a shin splint but in my ankle. But I got a nice little arm pump.

It’s Thanksgiving week so that means it is going to be Katie bar the door(southern redneck phrase for bout to be trouble) when it comes to my diet on Thursday and Friday. So I’m trying to create as much of a caloric deficit as possible till then so the weight gain will be minimal. I gained 5 lbs on my beach trip and it took me nearly 3 weeks to get it off and make progress again. Don’t want that to happen.

Conditioning Day (that worked out nicely) -- BJJ Holiday roll. Nine 5-minute rolls. Mostly upper belts. Had a visiting purple belt and I did my part to defend the honor of our gym. I pulled guard, he couldn't get past and then with 5 seconds left in our round I swept him. Was good victory.
