Yeah that seems to be a growing thing on Youtube tons of cuts but the guy did it in one day likely on a Sunday because he just seen Casey video and wanted to push for his meeting. He wanted to do this in as public a way as possible so it would be harder for Casey to say no an as for a latter date.

I used to watch a lot of casey’s videos. I stumbled onto them watching some peter makinton (spelled way wrong I know been a while) videsos.

Casey’s used to be really entertaining. It was a different look and a fresh take and he did funny shit all the time, dropping his cameras and breaking them modifying them in hilariously cheap but effective ways etc.

His new vids are boring and stale to me, I don’t watch them anymore. They don’t have the same feel to them as when he was coming up.

Casey might go for it, a lot of people are pissed about the way ad revenue works now with the new changes.

They are making it harder to get, like he said over a million views and a coulple hundred bucks. And it’s really confusing the ad revenue compilation.

There are vids out there with millions of views and zero ad revenue.

I believe this how he going to sell it. Jack he is a billionaire I would imagine? He also reinvented the pay model for creators.

People pointed out how Caseys content became stale I am sure this is part of the motivation to launch his new business idea. He wants to be more a producer not a creator.

He wants to drive the ship with his vision by pulling in creators with different perspectives. He wants to avoid what happened to other creators who basically ran out of ideas.

I believe he views 368 as a new type of network an Jack likely wants to build a new platform for it. It''s using Patreon technology one would imagine? For Jack to personally pitch this idea it means a lot to him.

No he started as a film maker way back in the day, I don’t think casey has done any camera reviews. It goes against his philosophy of it doesn’t matter that you use, you have to be creative and use what ever you have.

He used to do stop motion animation and some other stuff, did a lot of stock photo type stuff too.

It’s one of the reasons I originally liked watching his stuff, it was about the content vs what gear he used like so many others are.

He graduated from high school an decided to skip college an moved to New York to get a job. He started to experiment with video spurred on by his brother''s own interests in video.

It was there that HBO decided to work him an his brother to produce their own short lived show. He did some commercial work for Mercedes that I believe inspired him to go the social media route.

The commercial he did for Mercedes resembles many of his videos today. Constantly moving rapid changes in camera angles an riding a skateboard.

He also does narration during the video. His entry in YouTube space hit with a thud he only took off when he went with a daily blog.

His popularity allowed him to gain advertisers such Samsung, Mercedes, Emirates air an a few others. Having produce social media content that blends his regular content with ads almost transparently.
