Ricardo De La Riva will be doing a seminar @ WNY MMA on Saturday, May 6th, 2006. He will be coming at least twice a year to do seminars at our academy so mark your calendar for this first one.

check the website for more details and dont forget that Carlson Gracie Jr will be doing a seminar April 1st at WNY MMA

there is a possibility that the date may be pushed back a week. My Professor will be talking to De La Riva and know a set date this weekend. Updates will probably be on our site wnymma.com before they get posted here but should be up by wednesday.

glad you like it. anytime you're in WNY please come through for a free class or to roll. We offer Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Vale Tudo, Kickboxing and Boxing. Believe it or not but we havn't even had our grand opening yet. Can't wait untill we finish the 10 metal and plexi sign (Our logo and the bulldogs eyes should light up!). It means a lot to get props from other BJJ guys so thank you for the support.

i might just take you up on that. i try to get out to the west coast at least 3times a year. My sister lives in long beach but i'd love to make the trip to SF.

I'm sure Maestre would have loved it, i mean it's based on his bulldogs so how could he not! We'll find out what Jr, De La Riva and Stephan think of it when they all come out to do seminars.

You still getting the Bulldogs witht he liht up eyes?
 
I am in a De La Riva school in the Northern Virginia area....we just opened after my instructor split off of another school

De la Riva is AWESOME! Every time he comes my game opens up considerably.

does Boca come with him to your schools too? Man those two are so fun to be with and so incredible on the ground.

We are a DLR academy now. My Professor Chuck Anzalone was just promoted to brown belt by Prof.De La Riva.

The sign never really got finished and started to get complicated.

Boca does come with Prof. De La Riva when he is in town. Boca is overseeing our MMA program and will be coming up on a very regular basis. Joao Cruz was also here for the seminar.

I belive Boca should be back by the end of the summer. You can always check out WNYMMA.com or WNYBJJ.com

I am moving to Las Vegas at the end of the month but will be in contact with everyone at WNY BJJ so if you ever have questions feel free to PM me.
