De la Hoya vs Cotto

I like the simple things in life, bro. I really do. I have all I need in my life, right now. When I was younger, I was more interested in possessions and accumulating wealth. Working in finance changed all of that. I hated what my future looked like. I saw it in the faces of the 50 year old executives I worked with.

I'm spartan and I like it.

I've been using big tvs for monitors for a long time. I can't even fathom how I'll be able to use a small monitor ever again. I'll get antsy in my pants and start smashing things.

Walking barefoot and wiping your arse with cactus. Got ya, buddy.

I used to walk barefoot around most unlicensed places. I'm not able to do that anymore, since getting sick. I wear pluggers 95% of the time.

People walking around Oz without shoes was one of the stranger things for me to get used to.

As far as the simple things, I like those too. I'd just rather have extra zero's behind my ATM balance if I can help it.

I understand, man. I may change when responsibility forces itself upon me once more.

Right now, masses of money has little relevance to my life. I wake up, eat breakfast, read some of whatever text I have on hand, work out, shower, snack, walk to uni, have a coffee and read some more...attend class...have another coffee and read, walk home, shoot the shit with the flatmate, make dinner, have a glass of red, then either hit the hay or chuck on a movie.

My routine. My life.

I get into the "fight club" mentality once in a while. I have a ton of frivolous things that waste my time and keep me idle.

What divergence we have here...

Making asshole posts, rants or comments just fills in the gaps then? Not specifically timed out? I do miss the college days though, life was a lot easier.

Am I really so vile and obnoxious? I won't lie, I can be easily annoyed and as such, I find it difficult to mask my frustration with the masses. Perhaps this gig isn't for me.

As for finding the time? I have plenty of time. I have my whole life in front of me.

Na, the years and your illness have mellowed you out. I just like giving you shit. I'm sure many would echo the sentiments of enjoying you posting here again.

I like some of the other forums out there too, namely yours and gigs', but this really gets a lot of activity, Liu has done an awesome job in your absence and with the new mods it's moving along nice.

They're also saying it might be in MSG but I swore I heard MGM. I dunno, maybe you can find an article saying more accurate things than I am.

more revenue is generated with a fight at MSG or MGM?

My guess would be the casino would win...?

The quality of the picture with TVs over 46 is not so hot. At least with digital broadcasting. Because most broadcast are 720 and not FULL 1080p. You can really notice the pixel difference when you juxtapose a 42 inch or smaller.

1080p is a waste at this time....not ready yet. stick with 1080i

Vegas always wins, there are so many extras aside from the live gate. Gambling, dinner, shows, clubs, limos, etc. Plus they can jack tickets in ways other venues cannot.

1.) Even as an aged fighter, DLH's skills and experience will make it tough for anyone.

2.) Cotto is young, disciplined, hungry, skillful, and rallied to win from knock downs before. As undefeated fighter and the proud representative of Puerto Rican boxing tradition, I don't think Oscar has enough in his tank to beat Cotto.

3.) I think Mayweather is going to win again in the rematch. This will only undermine DLH's confidence.

Cotto by T/KO.

Cotto, underdog in every fight he goes in to? LOL. Name me ONE fight that he wasn't favoured to win. Just one.

most people picked Judah and Mosley to beat him, especially Mosley. I'm not sure what the betting odds were but asking most boxing fans, they picked those guys over Cotto. If he goes against Margarito, i'd imagine a good percentage would go w/ Tony. And if he fights PBF, he'll be the underdog.

I would not like to see this fight happen because IMO oscar would just get brutaly beat down and it would be sad to see him go out like that after what he has done for the sport. I would instead like to see cotto vs pretty boy because i beleive at least Floyd has the hand speed and defense to keep up with cotto

No, they didn't. Most people picked Cotto in every fight he's ever had, hence his favourite status in every single pro fight. You can't possibly back up your claims, whereas mine are easy and fact.

Cotto is a better than 2-1 favourite over Margarito, so you're going to be wrong there, too.

Mayweather? Difference kettle of fish.

Cotto was the slight betting favorite against Shane, like -115 +120.

Against Tony he's a 2-1 fav as Craig pointed out. Should he beat him, I think the line would be something like

PBF -150
Cotto +130

Cotto was -145 on my book and Mosley +154. Cotto opened @ -125 and he was bet IN. That says to me, that those who are willing to lay their money on the line on a fight, belived that Cotto was the better man. Enough to take favourite odds and pound them.

LOL, He's Puerto Rican :D I've seen worse arguments. Hell, if Cotto was an underdog in all his fights, the 3 of us would be counting coin all the way to the bank!!

Aside from my obvious bet going to Tony, are either of you two going to put cash for/against Cotto this time?
