DC said he is retiring on his 40th bday. The Stipe fight will be about 8 months before that, he realistically he will only have time for 1 more fight after that. So who will it be?

CAin?

BLack Beast?

GUs?

Probably retires after the Stipe win.

Besides Jones there's no one left.

DC beats Stipe and retires and then we have no legit champ at Heavyweight, Light Heavy, Middleweight or Lightweight.

I think that’s a wrap after Stipe

Goes back and faces Jon. If not he might retire, but I still think he fights one more time against Gus.

I think he's came to terms with the Jones thing

This fight coming up is partially about trying to move past it. It's something Jon never attempted, putting DC in that small group of guys as a two weight champion, and retiring as one of the GOATs

Loses, he's back to arguably the #2 lhw.. Behind Jones (in some people's eyes). I'll give Jon the first one, but not the second, based on his failed test.

Final fight for DC - Werdum, perhaps? That is an interesting one I'd be on board with.

im my opition if dc wins vs stipe he retires that way. if he loses than defends lhw belt in his retirement fight.

im sure all the jones lovers will say he retireing at 40 so he wont have to risk fighting jbj again.

If he beats Stipe. The UFC should use every ounce of power they have to free Jon Jones for a HW Title Fight with DC. That can be DC's retirement fight.

you guys don't listen worth a shit !!

DC said he's done march .. But he also implied if the fight was right hed still do it ..

do you guys even mma bro ? Do you even watch the interviews ?

The UFC didn't like when GSP took the MW belt and stepped away. They wanted him to defend. Same probably goes for DC and the UFC probably made that clear to him that if he does win, he will have to defend. DC is a company guy, so he will defend if he wins.

Good chance its his last fight.

If he loses he might prefer to end his career on a won over someone named Gus.

If he wins he might want to fight Jones if its an option.

If he weighs in over 230lbs he is retiring.

They know what they are getting into. Unless they worded the contract to be something like DC gets 2 million for a loss and 100k for a win but 5 million for his following title defense they can't make him do anything.

If he beats Stipe I'm predicting they try to do Lesnar/DC for the title at the end of the year or next year and that will be his final fight.

Cormier wins 7.7. Cain healthy and ready to fight Daniel retires. But whit God help Stipe wins and circus is over

If Jones is somehow cleared he will probably fight him. That's probably still by far his biggest money fight. But I severely doubt that will happen.

Jones will get a reduced suspension due to the UFC pulling strings. DC vs. Jones 3 for DC's last fight. Jones is tested RIGOROUSLY by USADA beforehand, only to fail the post fight test again.

The UFC as a promotion wouldn't give a fighter they knew had the intention of retiring after a title shot. Because it diminishes the prestige of the belt for the next champion as the fighter retiring is taking the baton with him. That is why there is a champion clause to begin with. They(UFC) more likely gave DC a HW titleshot because he told them if he won, he would defend it.

DC works for the UFC. Not just as a fighter, but as a commentator. He has a good relationship with them. I don't think the UFC would even have to make him. I think DC would honor his word not just because he is a company guy, but because there would be some big money fights on the horizon for him if he beats Stipe. Possibly Cain Velasquez or a Jon Jones return. 2 very intriguing HW fights for the UFC.
