It was never questionable. Beating Rumble is better than any win Jon had, aside from DC himself. Beating Gustafsson a few months later in more convincing fashion than Jones seals the deal
 
Personally I considered him the champ all the way.
It's not his fault Jones got stripped.

What about Gus… He only just lost… You could say that maybe, just maybe he was 'potentially' a little unlucky… 'IF' it wasn't a level playing field, that could have a a dominating victory.

Agreed. With Jones' previous flags for irregular hormones its likely he cheated against cormier in the first place. He is the legit champ.

Yes TS, I agree, assuming Jones gets a year long suspension or worse.
 
Its not an interim belt anyway... He just hasn't defended it against Jones... and that's no ones fault but Jon's. We all know Jon was most likely walking away with the belt, but at this point unless the USADA ruling is overturned I'm washing my hands and brain of the thought of JBJ, and DC is the best LHW in the world.
 
I always considered DC the champ. Jones was stripped for being a career criminal. Now he has removed himself from the equation yet again.

And let's be honest: by his own standard, Jones looked like utter shit against OSP. DC might have beaten Jones.

There is no doubt that a LOT of guys who looked great prior to USADA (several notable Brazilians but also several notable Americans) have not been so fantastic (in addition to looking physically different) in the USADA era.

Jones produced multiple highly suspicious drug test results prior to the first Cormier fight which indicated possible PED use. There is a photo which seems to indicate potential drug use (marks on his abdomen) prior to the OSP fight. So, to quote Nate, I'm not surprised, motherfuckers.
 
DC has been clean, can't say the same about Jones.

Go figure, gets way stronger seemingly out of nowhere, now all of the sudden he pisses hot.

War DC, feel bad Jones pissed your payday and hard work away.

PED use or not, Cormier is still a paper champ. Never beat the champ. In fact, he lost to him.
 
I'll go for this, pending that it turns out this is a legitimate catch of jones cheating
