DC must be kicking himself right now, he had that fight in the bag but his ego got in the way.

He was taking that body shot that was horribly telegraphed by the way without even trying to defend it his ego thought he could just walk right through it lol

Kinda glad Stile won because you could clearly see it was all getting to DCs Head.

And no, Stipe adjusted. DC didn't. That's why the body work was so effective. DC should've wrestled. That fight was his to lose and he did. Great fight. Two really tough guys. DC and Stipe both deserve heaps of praise they don't get from Suredawg.
 
It wasn't fight IQ he's just on the cusp of retirement and is aging.
 
DC had it coming.
He was outstreching his arms (the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen) leaving his body unprotected, stipe brilliantly adjusted with those liver shots.

He is short as fuck. There are only so many things you can against a man with a 5inch reach advantage. He could back out. He could switch to kegs kicks. But the fact remains, Stipe found his second wind and he was moving forward. Daniel's style is wadding in to compensate for height and reach. He got caught. At best, he probably should have went to the takedown. Outside of that, dont pretend you know what he needed to do.
 
When did DC have the fight in the bag again? He won rounds 1 and 2, 10-9. Lost round 3. Was losing round 4...

He looked good until he ran out of gas and his eyepoke failed.

Clearly years of never going past the 3rd round had an effect on how he trained.
 
Stipe showed that immigrant mentality in the champ rounds.

That was a fantastic contest.

His body is on it's way out of professional athleticism.

it's not stupidity. it's not some conspiracy that theres like a 99% chance either he retires or has one more fight max. It's because his body is shutting down.

You sound like a whining DC fan trying to take the high road. Stipe took it from him because of good coaching and DC set a pace he could not keep for 5 rounds. Stipe is just tough. He does not literally cry on TV like mentally weak fighters.
 
Props to stipe, DC showed bad fight iq but I'll be damned if stipe's tall skinny and lanky coach doesn't look awkward af lol
