To be fair he was doing really well in that fight. If he could close up that glaring dip he does then he might fair better. Jones would have a lil rust and hopefully those clinch strikes DC landed on Jon would be that much harder at HW.

Wild card though since no testing for like a year Jones at HW sounds pretty fucking OP. Talks of drugs with tiny detection periods and Jon's connections to his nfl bro's, which is one of the dirtiest sports around. The difference of course being that DC has never hurt Jones, and that Jones won't be scared in those situations like they are as Jon is better than DC there, just like he is everywhere. DC literally caught Stipe because he knew Stipe would try and get out of the clinch. Jon wouldn't. He'll fight DC anywhere because he's better than DC everywhere.

DC's best chance to beat Jon was not at UFC 182, or at UFC 217 after Jon's 15 month layoff, or some potential HW clash. It was that split second brawl he started at their press conference. Instead he got his ass kicked like every other time they've fought. Cause Jon is better.

How do you know what I think? Can you read minds? I believe DC has the mental edge on Jones, hence the reason Jones thinks he needs PEDs in order to beat him. DC being almost 40 and Jones still feeling like he needs to cheat speaks volumes about Jones' lack of self belief. I pointed to Rampage and Wanderlei as an example because Wand had beaten him badly twice, much more brutally than the Jones' stoppage and Rampage came back and smoked him. The thing that makes the comparison all the more hilarious is the last match of their trilogy Wand was off the juice, if Jones fights DC off the juice he'll get smoked and he knows it. At Heavyweight though it won't matter whether he's on or off the juice because DC will run through him. DC is too powerful at Heavyweight and too durable, Jones talked about Heavyweight but like most things Jones' says it was just to please others, he didn't mean it and has no real intention of truly testing himself.

Hamil admitting something doesn't change the fact that the technique that caused him to be in so trouble was ILLEGAL (cue Dana White that's fucking illegal gif) Put it this way. Do you remember how the Jones/Vitor fight started? Jones came out low (effectively a downed opponent) and Vitor tried punting him. Say that kick landed and Vitor knocked Jones out, would you count that as a win? Would you proclaim Vitor the better fighter? Take it a step further what if someone uses a bat against Jones and knocks him out? Do you count that? The rules are there for a reason, you can't cherry pick which ones suit and which ones don't. Jones using PEDs as well as him using 12-6 elbows are both not permitted within the rule set he agrees to before the fight takes place, Jones is aware of this but doesn't care because he's a psychopath.

Yeah there's a little bit of emotion on my part I'll admit that but it's because Jones fans are CLEARLY IN DENIAL. Saying Jones on PEDs (which improves chin see:Bigfoot/Hunt 1 vs Bigfoot/Hunt 2 as an example while also improving stamina and strength) had no bearing on the fight are at the very least being disingenuous or they're trolling. If you were a real Jones fan you would want the same thing as me so you can see if your guy TRULY is the better fighter. Can a clean Jones even take a punch from DC? Will his stamina hold up? Will he be stronger in the clinch? These are all questions that Jones has robbed of us the answers and you're somehow happy about that? Also if you can't see the correlation between Wanderlei/Rampage and the Jones/DC fights then I can't help you.

I am sure it's pointed out here before me, but didn't read every single comment so:

It's the same fight with now DC having a significant weight and power advantage over Jones. BUT, his power advantage is only in the clinch, he can't put same force into his punches from distance. That is why Jones said he want like a million to fight DC @ HW. He knows he has his number no matter the weight, but this time DC has a puncher's chance, he didn't have it @ 205, Jones took very clean and heavy shots both fights, and especially the 2nd, but he was fine. Don't think he will be fine if HW DC nail him with the same punches he nailed him in the 2nd fight for example.

This is the only difference, DC now has a puncher's chance that he didn't had before.
