Call me crazy but i don't wanna see that shit again, the same thing will happen again.
Not the worst way to get to 30-0, make a boatload of money, and permanently shut up all the Conor 2.0 fanboys
But he'll be accused of ducking Tony
Maybe so...but I still can't think of anyone who performed better against Khabib.
If Khabib ever decides to come back, that is.
But I think that Khabib's talent for taking opponents to the ground and generally dictating the pace of the fight to his preference drastically exceeds that of Conor's.
It's not like Conor has a drastic height, reach, and speed advantage either unlike Jones vs Cormier.
Conor does his best work when he can successfully get into the opponent's head and messes with them a bit. If it doesn't work, it more or less leads to a war or a complete ownage.
The best way to describe it is, Conor finds opportunities, while Khabib makes them instead.
Conor should beat Poirier first. Then you can talk.
Poirier's last fights at lightweight;
- beat Dan Hooker
- beat Holloway
- beat Alvarez
- beat Gaethje
- beat Pettis
- beat Joe Duffy (who beat Conor)
Conor's last fights other than featherweight;
- beat Cerrone at catchweight
- beat Alvarez
- beat Nate Diaz at catchweight (lost the first fight)
If this fight ever happens, Khabib will maul Conor 2.0.
Then Conor will go Super Saiyan 4 and we'll all talk about how Khabib's ducking him.
I like DC but this is just wishful thinking. Khabib isn’t hurting for money and has nothing left to prove against Conor. GSP is the only fight that might lure him out of retirement.
People will say he beat an old and withered Tony, if he beats him. Its a lose-lose.
I like how everbody is writing Dustin off. You people could be in for a surprise.
Al is more deserving than Conor
Fans deserve to see them fight again with both men healthy and sober to really see who is the best LW in the world.
LoL Tony is a bum . Can't beat anyone in the top 5,never has.
If Conor earns his title shot then sure, he should still be fighting another contender after Porrier to even come close to justifying his case. Beating Cerrone at 170lb means literally nothing, basically an exhibition fight.
Conor 5.0 minimum to beat khabib. I see giblert and beej in conors future
DC's shilling for the UFC is becoming ridiculous. The 'fight to make' is a guy who's 1-1 at lw. Him and Ariel have become unbearable.
Im hoping so ...that its a surprise, then the MMA universe can go back to some sort of reality.
Would be by FAR the biggest fight of all time, including boxing.
As a fight fan, I would love to see it. But I just don't see Khabib coming back for that. He already won in a very decisive way... aside from the money it's very high risk
