DC not having Cain to train with was a big factor in this fight.

I will start by saying that after watching the fight I believe Jon would have won regardless.

Cain having DC and vise versa is a huge help to both fighters. I guarantee noone can push DC at AKA like Cain can.

I would be willing to bet his wrestling, cardio, speed, and strength would have all been better if he was sparring and grappling with Cain every day for this fight.

bringing in a great wrestler does not make up for what he gets from his number one training partner and best friend.

thoughts? (In before people just saying Jon is way better and it wouldn't matter at all)

People honestly said Rockhold was a better partner to mimic Jones. Serious Luke fuqin Rockhold mimicking Jon Jones lol. Rockhold couldn't hold Jones muay thai shorts.

Didn't DC bring in the guy who beat him in the Olympics to train with him?

did someone really say that? Rockhold is a good fighter but that makes ZERO sense.

yeah, but Jon Jones is not a wrestler he is a mixed martial artist. Also, Cain is relentless with his training, I guarantee nobody would have prepared DC better for a 5 round war like Cain could.

that seriously sounds stupid... Luke doesn't fight anything like Jon Jones... Luke is a technical kickboxer with proficient takedown defense and good grappling... Jon Jones is a very unorthodox striker, that uses his physical tools extremely well and has great wrestling.

I mean there are some similarities but they are truely night and day... I actually think Cains wrestling and cardio are more similar.. but hell neither are similar it really just comes down to how prepared you can be mentally and physically. I guarantee training with Cain everyday will help you mentally and physically.

Jones cardio looked like crap too. I was quite surprised.
