Someone posted last night that they hoped DC fought someone else, and LOST his "paper" belt.

That nonsense is OVER now. Done with.

Daniel Cormier is the RIGHTFUL UFC light heavyweight champion.

Jon Jones HAD to vacate the title due to behavior unbecoming as a holder of the belt. And he has had one screw up after another SINCE then. He has proven he can NOT be counted on, to even make it to the cage at this point.

Regardless of Jones winning their first contest, DC has proven that he is the rightful owner of the belt. He has won the title against the most feared man in the division (Rumble) and even defended the belt against Gus.

He has represented the sport and the belt like a TRUE fighter, and also as a decent human being.

I don't want to hear any more nonsense about him being "paper champ" after this latest fiasco.

He IS the REAL CHAMP.

DC is the champ we deserve, but not the one we need right now...

(sounds stupid but i had to say it...)

He is once again the champion until Jones comes back.

:>

Not to mention, jones was probably roiding for their first fight as well, making his win over dc null and void from a theoretical perspective.

He is the rightful champion, but his loss to Jones will always be cloud hovering over his legacy. In the end that is what matters and it's unfortunate that it seems DC just can't get that rematch.

You're absolutely right. It's not Cormier's fault if Jones just can't get it together.

Yep. People are ridiculous when they expect a division to be held up for years because a former champ can't get his act together.

Jones can't even make it in the octagon while DC has beaten beasts like Rumble and Gus.

DC earned it and is the rightful champ

He's always been the true LHW CHAMPION even before Jones' USADA debacle. If your say otherwise then you're obviously ignorant.

Yeah but jones is the better fighter. This just sucks for everyone.

I am unable to "like" posts. The dubs. So I quoted this Amigo. Best thread of the day.

His levels were suspicious at the time of the 1st fight

http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Vi...Levels-Before-UFC-182-Highly-Suspicious-80631

“If they see a deviation in the T/E ratio of greater than 30 percent, there is something up. That’s a red flag,” Conte explained. “If you look at Daniel [Cormier’s] two ratios, they were .42 and .47; that’s about an eight percent deviation. If you look at the numbers for Jon Jones, his was basically an 80 percent deviation. His is suspicious and Daniel Cormier’s is not. It’s not just that he’s got very low [testosterone] levels, much lower than Daniel. Daniel’s are normal, his are extremely low.”

“These are highly suspicious for Jon Jones, in my opinion,” Conte said. “This is the reason that sophisticated anti-doping officials do target testing. So based on what we see here, my opinion is Jon Jones should be on a very short leash and should be random tested here until they sort out why he has these anomalies.”

That Jones’ levels were as low as they were should raise a red flag, according to Conte, because the use of performance enhancing drugs could be a potential culprit.

“Exogenous testosterone and other steroids in a period of time, depending on dosage and method of administration, can completely shut your testosterone and epitestosterone levels in urine to 0

He's been the legit champ since he won it. Only a Cormier hater, or Jones hugger would try to say otherwise.

Like it's Cormier's fault that Jones is sabotaging his fucking life.

Come on fan boys. It's time to grow up, and enter the real world.

One unavenged loss clouds a legacy? Sounds a bit over the top given Cormiers other accomplishments.
