I think you would be dissapointed if dc retired and stipe went on to murder everyone else you would be left wondering "what if he fought dc for a second time and the first fight was a fluke"

I definitely wouldn't.

DC has made it public he's on the cusp of retiring.

Even if Stipe would go on a tear, I would be happy with the result of their first fight, especially as I was going for Cormier, though I wouldn't have been upset if Stipe won.

Agreed. I’ve been critical of Johnson recently, but that was a very close fight. Johnson was a long reigning champion who lost a razor close decision. Giving Garbrandt an immediate rematch but denying DJ the same is outright despicable. Hopefully that’s not the case, it’s not like there are a surplus of serious contenders waiting on deck.
