Champions usually get shit on for pulling out of one title fight, but DC has ruined two main events this year. Granted he "fought" Anderson at 200, which should definitely be commended. Still though, pulling out of two title fights in one calendar year is pretty bad for your brand. He might have entered Jose Aldo territory at this point. Has any other champion pulled out of two title fights in a calendar year?

Cain. He may no pull out of multiple fights in one year but he will take long breaks and schedule many a surgery.

Everybody just talks about how the guys at AKA always get injured but nobody mentions that DC never pulled out of a fight before becoming the champ.

So now that he has a belt it's cool for him to get injured all the time?

He was probably fighting with minor injuries but now that he has the belt he's being overly cautious.

You're right. Vitor pulled out, was replaced by Machida and then Weidman pulled out and they rescheduled, fought and pulled out again in December, when he was supposed to face Vitor.

To the best of my knowledge those are the only 2 fights that he has pulled out of in his entire career.

It sucks when any fighter pulls out with an injury. It's definitely magnified when a champ does it. Now this is twice in a year. Fights that were really anticipated by the fans. And of course there is the soap opera, that is Jon Jones.

That division is just bad fuckin news. It's jinxed, or some shit.

I'm resigned to thinking DC has two fights left in him, maybe 1 if he loses to rumble. I don't see him really keeping on unless he's A. The champ and B. Fighting bones. I seriously think he's remaining active for the sole purpose of revenge

I'm just stating why he has pulled out twice now that he is the champ but never pulled out prior to becoming the champ. What's the point of you being a douche?

Conor had 3 opportunities to defend a belt, but he pulled out and was stripped.

Was just trying to understand if you were just stating that as the most likely explanation or if you were defending him and thought it was a valid excuse.

    Because it's not
