Rewatching his fights on fightpass right now. Dude was a killer. In his prime I think he'd still be a problem for most MW these days. Also Joe Rogan sounds SO young

He was fun in his prime but sadly a lot of what I remember from Loiseau is just sitting in a turtle position losing fights.

The fight with Ed Herman was the worst, he'd hurt Herman and instantly get taken down, he'd give his back and literally just sit in turtle position for the whole round. Rinse and repeat for 3 rounds.

The Charles McCarthy KO is forever stuck on highlight reels though and deservedly so.

That was before Joe had his deviated septum operation. Which made his voice sound higher pitched..

Not only did rich ruin him(and really show how mid-level David was and would be no better than that today- t.s crazy) but ref(forgot if it was John or herb) helped ruin rich as his hands were never same after that fight( fight should've been stopped way earlier) .... had issues with hands after that fight.

Not really. Well yes, but just because UFC was ok having him as the posterboy and not investing much money in contenders. They even got rid of Matt Lindland, in a winning streak. Lindland was ugly and boring, but could have beaten Rich.

lindland would not shower for a few weeks before a fight just so his opponents would have to deal with him being smelly lol

I actually take it back. David spent like 30% of his UFC career with guys on his back. I guess he was decent for the period, but never great

David was on the exact same path to the top as GSP.

Rich Franklin beat him and he fell apart hard.

He was soon out of the UFC and losing fights in horrible organizations.

The documentary, "Striking Truth" ... is the best description of the Crow's career.

He was the first fighter I can remember watching when I first got into mma. Watched his fights on the FightNetwork years before I'd ever seen a UFC event.

He had the most dangerous elbows in the game. I miss watching some of these blast from the past fighters.
