On Dave Meltzer's Sunday audio show, he said he saw a bid to buy into UFC and it was not for minority ownership, but it was for a majority (over 51%).
He said a lot thought UFC was only looking for a minority offer (like the 10% they sold a few years back) but under confidentiality he was shown a bid that would put the prospected buyer in the majority as far as ownership/sales.
He added that in the end, it might wind up a minority purchase (UFC does not have to take the offer), but as of now there is a real offer on the table to take over control of UFC from Zuffa!

Here is the audio snippet. The audio is behind a paywall, so it is not cool to post it all & get SD in trouble.

>under confidentiality
>tells everyone anyway

Good work, Dave.

Haha, he was obviously shown it for a reason, but was asked not to say the amount & who.
That is pretty much how inside sources work.
But you are right, it is funny from that perspective!

Fighters gotta learn to say Shei Shei !

Plus no events on any date with a 4 in it

If zuffa does sell (majority ownership) be funny to see if the changes on sherdog...no more zuffa shills or DW worshippers? LOL.

I reckon Dana will still stay on and keep his share. they would know how important he is as the promoter.

This sucks

Who knows how it will play out?
There was an offer for majority, does not mean they will take it.
They could negotiate down or just say no.
I just thought it was interesting, because he heard people guessing about things & now we know there is something of substance.

But .... Zuffa can say no & all is over!

Is that a Chinese thing?
Seriously have no idea!
4 is an unlucky number

They are about as superstitious as a culture there is, practically everything in their culture relates to "luck" they have like 10 different number combinations that refer to different things, from things like "congratulations" to "you will have a good day" to "your business deal will bring you fortune"

"Seen the offer", but have you seen an English book?

Mayweather is the buyer according to a couple of sources with inside information, he is using a company with Asia ties as a front since he doesn't want his name popping up in the deal.

I was wondering if one of the Wynns had become brain damaged all of a sudden and back Floyd .....

Gotta love internet rumors.

If there really was such an offer that was actually being negotiated, only a very select few within Zuffa would be privileged enough to see it, and even fewer would actually have a copy. I’d guess almost no one outside White, the Fertittas, and a handful of top executives. Those people didn’t get where they are by blabbing to some internet journalist, and if they did it would be easy to figure out who it was. I doubt Meltzer is making it up entirely, but I bet whatever he was shown was not what he was told. They likely get offers all the time, it doesn’t mean that they’re taken seriously or negotiated.
