    Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a new gi and I'm willing to pay around $200. I have read some reviews on the Datsusara gi and I'm very interested. Comfort and durability are big selling points for me. I'm a little concerned about the sleeve size and if it would be a good competition gi.

Are there any other $ 200 gis I should be looking at?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming your talking about a high price gi since it should be around $200

Have you looked at Equilibrio by Storm?

That looks like a nice gi. It's $279 on sale which is a little more than I want to pay, but if it's worth it, I wouldn't mind paying the extra $$$. It says it has some anti-microbial elements and ripstop material. I'll look for some reviews.

    Thanks

Atama Mundial 9 is a fantastic gi.

I have had some Atamas in the past. I liked the gis but not their belts. I am assuming the quality of the Mundial 9 must be great for $239.

    Thanks...

For $200, I'd look at getting the American fit Isami double weave gi. I read that its more slim fitting than the JDM version and is soft as a hell. It's also built like a tank.

I've reviewed four gis that were $200+. Datsusara, MaueWear, Bull Terrier and Lucky. All the gis are very well put together and had solid craftsmanship. That being said I'm not sure the you have to spend $200 to get a really nice gi. Is there something specific that you'e looking for that you feel can only be found if you spend $200?

My reviews are below if you're interested:

I tried to by the comp single and they're sold out of my size till May. :-(

Otherwise, great gi. I got the standard single as my first gi and it's still going strong, and I've gone through four other gis since

Yeah I have an old HCK hotweather gi that I've had for some time now and it has outlasted a crappy Breakpoint, a Black Eagle Predator and a Manto select. It's tried and true and still my favorite gi.

The Muae gets our recommendation, but generally speaking, there's no reason to spend $200 on a quality Gi. There's a ton of $100-150 Gi's that are just as good, some better.

Omega Maniac's Shaka Gi is pure sex. One of the best pairs of pants I've trained it.

Ive enjoyed the Submission FC's Hemp sensation a lot. I remember it being in the 150USD region. it has only gotten better after six months of solid training in it... It comes out softer and more luxurious feeling after each wash.

for 200 you can get two really good gi's instead of one that is possibly just high-priced.

Also an excellent choice! I haven't seen a bad Gi by them yet. Shame they don't have the name recognition as some other brands. Their pants are soooo awesome.

    Glad I found this thread.

I think that it's most beneficial, instead of just listing all of the $200+ gis that we're reviewed for GiReviews.Net, that I just give you some of the best in terms of quality.

I have over 20 gis at any given time but only wear about 5-6 of them in regular rotation.

    Ctrl Industries Rook - http://gireviews.net/rook-ctrl-industries-gi-review/

    Ronin Navy Samurai - http://gireviews.net/ronin-brand-navy-samurai-gi-review/

    Omega Maniac Shaka - http://gireviews.net/omega-maniac-shaka-gi-review/

And this new one that I haven't posted yet:
