Wow, no Suloev? No Murray? How about even Jeremy Stephens, who nearly killed a guy?

They did an extremely good job covering pro wrestling in Dark Side of the Ring, but we do have to see how it translates to something like MMA, which doesn't have the same history or purposeful amounts of drama, nor are the controversies as well known, and the ones that are, don't have all that much to uncover.

i think what makes Darkside of the Ring interesting is not only does it have a huge history like you said, but it also was basically like a secret society amongst the insiders for decades. so there were/are a lot of things normal people didn't know shit about. MMA is kind of the opposite of that, since not only did the UFC promote it hard and it got huge in America, it came up during the internet age, so basically anything that happened during the history of MMA is documented somewhere on the internet.

there is no veil of secrecy protecting all of the skeletons getting out of the closet. in fact, it's more likely to be known IMMEDIATELY when some kind of incident happens that is MMA related.

i think maybe Rockson Gracie's death is one of the things that isn't common knowledge on what happened to him. because i remember the story was he died in a motorcycle accident when he really died from a drug overdose.

That and the depth of the few shadowy things MMA has, mafia-ufc beginnings or yakuza-pride. Things that are pretty much assumed, but the details aren't fully explored.

Going to be good. The Dark Side of The Ring episodes I've watched I've enjoyed and Who Killed WCW was pretty good too, they should do Jon Jones and Conor McGregor...know their stories are not over yet, but got damn.

I wonder if USADA or the TRT era will get an episode. Probably not though as that would dig up a lot dirt on some high profile fighters and current fighters.

No Lee Murray??? I guess there are already documentaries and movies about him and the heist. So maybe they wanted to cover other ground…

Don't get your hopes up. The production of this series is pretty lazy IMHO and if you know absolutely anything about the topic, you will likely not learn anything new. These are very safe and very skewed towards the opinions of whoever is willing to show up and be interviewed which leads to a lot of bias/glossed over information. Also, be prepared for extremely monotonous camera shots and some of the most poorly produced "re-enactments" you will see anywhere.
