I was almost expecting Vanessa to get shot by Bullseye when her and Fisk were eating dinner in slow motion at the end.

Yes it did, how did Daredevil know Frank Castle cut his hair ?

He could smell the WAHL hair clipper oil. I'm guessing Frank's hygiene is a C+ at best, so even after a half-assed rinse in the shower there were still traces.

The mid credit scene, fucking perfect. Those guys idolized him so him coming over like that fits.
Jersey cop was a special kind of stupid to fall for that. For all their attempts to recapture the show's former glory they default to idiotic hijinx like this as his escape? Gotta take the good with the bad I suppose.

I thought it was a good series. My problem is with how TV series are in general these days. I hate how <10 episode seasons are now the norm. Idk maybe its just an "old man yells at cloud" moment for me but I miss the days where seasons have 15+ episodes. If Lost was released today it would be 13+ seasons long seeing how the early seasons were regularly 20+ episodes.

I like it for the most part, keeps it more crisp.

Lots of shows dip in quality when they go to more episodes per season. Vikings is one of those, was great at 10ep a season and when they switched to 20 it started downhill.

The old network TV series model was to put out about 26 episodes per season (every week for half the year), but once you cut out all the ad time they were much shorter. A 30 minute show was closer to 22 minutes, hour long show was about 44 minutes once you cut all the adds.

22 minutes x 26 episodes per season is 572 minutes per season, divide that by 10 and you have a 10 episode season of a streaming series with average run time of 57.2 minutes per episode.

We're not that far off from the old math, it's just packaged differently.

I guess it depends on the series. House of the Dragon is the biggest offender right now, two years between seasons and the second season had massive amounts of filler despite being only 8 episodes. Born Again wasn't bad, not much filler, but I missed the 13 episode seasons from the Netflix version of the show.

Lost episodes were about 42 minutes long, even if they were switched to an hour long that would still be a 16-17 episode season. I get those days are gone though. The new norm is now 8-9 episodes which is a shame. I think 13 is a good sweet spot.

The Catholic fantasy show was preachy?!?!?!?
That wasn’t even the part I thought was preachy. It was more the subtext about how Castle was an Iraq/Afghanistan war veteran, “so he knows what the fuck is what. Not you, you fucking civilian bitch.”

That type of stuff gets to be a bit much the hundredth time you see it. But it was still very good. I still liked it a lot.

These days, Season 1s are just teasers for the network to decide if they want to invest more money into it.

Elektra needs to be prettier than Jennifer Garner and have nice medium boobs. Jessica Jones also needs medium boobs.

I saw an article on Apple News where the Kingpin actor said due to rights issues, he can never be in MCU movies. I would guess shitty FOX movies are allowed.

The original Netflix Daredevil, Punisher etc series were 13 episodes each. This led to a lot of filler episodes where nothing much happened. I like Deborah Ann Woll. She's a very good actress and easy on the eyes. I do not need an entire DD episode about Karen Page's tragic backstory.

But we can keep the scene where she's walking around a frat party with no shirt pouring liquor down an ice luge, right?

where the fuck is spider-man
God imagine Bernthal shit talking Spidey the way he does Daredevil.

Spidey making joke as he webs up a goon. Punisher: “You think this is a fucking game, it’s fucking comedy hour, is it.”

Throat rips some dude, shotguns webbed up dude in the face point blank. “They don’t seem to find it as funny as you do.”
