    Yeah. I'll say it.

I know Bryce won the fight, but If Andre Fili is able to defend TDs, cut you up and land like that on you , you're not dominating or taking down and controlling the likes of a Zabit or even someone like Burgos.

I'd say hype train justified. Kid's going to get better.

Yeah, good point, and Fill is a good grappler himself but Bryce isn't taking down and controlling a Max or Zabit.

Filli has better grappling than you seem to give him credit for and the guy won 30-27 on two scorecards...

Fili was pretty damn good on the ground, was doing everything right. That made me even more impressed with Bryce, great positional control, heavy hips and good gas tank. Fili made him work the whole time to maintain position.

Fili has been a top contender for a while. This was a solid test, and he beat him.

We watched two different fights. Bryce has dead people buried in that Arkansas field.

    All Fili did was survive.

Top 5 is too high for Mitchell I think at the moment, but I think Top 10, the current Mitchell still can dance around that corner.

    Mitchell grappling is top notch,

I think overall, his wrestling, striking, GnP, striking-takedown transition can definitely be far improved, he's still green and young.

The comparison and contrast reminded me of how complete Khabib as a fighter is.

Sherdoggers are so eager to see up-and-comers fail that they even equate winning a fight to a long time veteran like Fili as a bad thing...

Mitchell did good. Had a lot of takedowns, and did a lot of good work on the ground. As previously mentioned, Fili brought in Gary Tonon from Danaher Death Squad to train grappling specifically for this fight. They had Gary study Mitchell's fights and they trained how to grapple and deal with Mitchell on the ground. Gary is not only one of the best grapplers in the World, but also fights MMA so knows how to blend it all together.

When you take that into account, the fact Mtichell still won 2 out of 3 rounds (maybe all 3?) against a tough guy is encouraging.

Clear win for Bryce. We have seen fighters struggle with lesser fighters before becoming champions. And you named Zabit but he loses rounds all the time.

Mitchell was strong in round 1 & 3
Got hit by a bad knee but gave good punches back on the feet
Had many takedowns, I think 7
But had sometimes problems to control him on the ground

Bryce looked good against a tough opponent, and he was honest about his desire to continue improving. Excited to see him again.
