I don't get the women's kit at all. Does anyone else think it is BS that Taylor wore a full shirt? While it doesn't mitigate the impact of a blow, it surely could affect how clean a close punch could land. I can see a shirt causing a punch to slip to slide a bit instead of making full contact with skin, or at least affect bruising/scraping, which is pain fighters have to deal with. I don't know, I just don't get allowing material over a fighter's torso.
Punches would slip less when hitting fabric as opposed to sweaty slippery skin? Aw crap now I'm retarded too
If men have to be shirtless so should the women. Otherwise that's creating a double standard for men and women and means that it's a sexist rule.
She had 10 days notice to take her first UFC fight. I'm not sure they had any other option printed up for her. EDIT: I just saw a pic of her gear backstage and she had a sports bra, so I don't know the reason for the shirt. I'll have to ask.
