Weichel, 33, a former two-time title challenger in the featherweight division, will move to lightweight for the first time in his nearly five-year Bellator tenure. He hasn’t fought at 155 pounds since February 2013, but after two failed title bids against 145-pound champion Patricio Freire, is making a change.

Yamauchi, 25, will attempt to get back on track after suffering a unanimous-decision loss to Michael Chandler at Bellator 192 in January. The submission specialist had won six of seven prior to the bout and will try to start another winning streak at Bellator 210.

The latest Bellator 210 lineup now includes:

MAIN CARD (Paramount, DAZN, 9 p.m. ET)

  • Chidi Njokuani vs. John Salter
  • David Rickels vs. Bomba Vasconcelos
  • Juan Archuleta vs. Jeremy Spoon
  • Bruna Ellen vs. Kristina Williams
PRELIMINARY CARD (MMAjunkie, 7 p.m. ET)

  • Jose Leija vs. Joe Schilling
  • Scott Futrell vs. Mike Shipman
  • Dominick Mazzotta vs. Brandon Phillips
  • Daniel Carey vs. Adil Benjilany
  • Chris Honeycutt vs. Costello Van Steenis
  • Daniel Weichel vs. Goiti Yamauchi

Thats a good fight but dont get why its on prelims. If its a stacked card thats a great prelim but that fight is better than main event and every main card fight.

No way it should be on prelims of this kind of show.

He was a pretty good LW.
Was LW champion in M-1, actually.

From champ to prelims?? Why would they put this on the prelims. There are other fights that could easily be moved off the main card for this one.

n the preliminary portion of Bellator 210’s fight card this month.
LOL
This one can actually be the co main over Rickels vs Vasconcellos................
but whatever...

how... is this on the prelims? it's actually the best fight on the card, including the main event!

Why would you burry this fight in the prelims? Christ

probably just owed him another fight this year Gerald Harris also says he is on this card

Why they put this on prelims <{hughesimpress}>

I can't believe Bellator put them on the prelims.

And don't try to say "prelims need a decent headliner" bs because since Coker took over, prelims have been filled with no names all the time, no matter if it is the first fight or the prelims' main event.

Great fight but I don’t gotta even say it. Y’all already know it smh Bellator

Gonna be interesting to see how weichel does at a new weight class. Think he beats goiti

It should be co-main fight, and this is a great fight. Curious how weichel looks in lw div, this guy was seconds away from deathrone bellator fw king pitbull.

i am more intrested by prelims than main card .

Patricio on tape delay.
Weichel vs Goiti on the prelims.

Bellator smh

Bellator puts Weichel vs Yamauchi on the prelim to prove their the dumbest people in MMA.

UFC counters by making TJ vs Cejudo for the non-existent Flyweight title, proving their even dumber.

Hope he is more active at LW damnss

It's reasons like this that I find myself baffled by how many people still can't believe why the UFC is such a dominant player in the MMA world. Well, it's because the competition has no clue what they're doing! Putting on shit fights and shit shows, paying big bucks for past their prime or never that great fighters, not knowing anything about matchmaking, the whole 9 yards. It's almost as if most of these promotions are TRYING to fail! I have been bummed and only following the scene with one eye for quite sometime now, and BS like this is why. Believe me, the UFC being the 900lbs gorilla in the MMA space has a lot to do with the sad state of promoting other of companies and not necessarily because the UFC is so great.
