I would take Mir at +300 and probably wouldn't touch the gil vs. bendo fight

Mir + Bendo parlay... but not for much, as Mir has been fading lately.

Interesting. I don't think I'm betting on either of those fights though. I think someone suggested a small amount for a parlay with Mir and Bendo - that might work..

I was hoping for longer odds on Melendez. I'm guessing the people that think Mir has all these advantages over Cormier will be salivating at those odds.

ALL of these? Boxing i guess maybe but the only one that matters the ability to break his limbs, if DC can avoid subs then he wins all day

does anyone know what the odds were for their original fight? I almost feel like Cormier would have had a bigger opening bet the first scheduled fight.

Some people (admittedly a small amount) are saying that Mir has the advantage in the stand up as well as various other advantages. I certainly don't agree. Anyone that thinks this is a close fight should be laying some money on Mir, though.

I think he was around -325 and Mir was + 250 or something like that. I'll double check.

Edit: Cormier opened at -285 and Mir +225 according to MMA odds breaker in August.

Why do a parlay at all? Just bet Mir straight up if you wanna lose your money.

Based on the fight with Staring? He pretty much outclassed that guy everywhere and proved that Staring had no business being on the same card as him much less in a fight with him, but I guess it wasn't spectacular like most were assuming it would be... I'd be interested to see a comparison of the odds.

If Cormier was around -250 I'd bet the house on him. This is a little steep though. Maybe a parlay.

Frank Mir has this in the bag. Can't wait to make some cold hard cash on this one.

I only give a small sub chance for Mir, Mir is much better IMO than barnett off his back, but got much less resilience, chin...And has been dropped by Nogueira.

Those both look just about right.

For the most part I'd say that's accurate, though I'd give Barnett considerably better sweeps. Not that it mattered against Cormier.

Even so, I think Mir is, in general, better offensively and worse defensively than Barnett, both standing and on the ground. That tends to make him a more volatile fighter, which might make him the better bet as an underdog.

I think Mir is most dangerous in scrambles and transitional positions, not necessarily off of his back with a fighter in his guard. In some ways, this makes him more dangerous than a fighter that just works from guard. However, when he is actually put on his back, he tends to sustain a large amount of damage. I do agree that he is more dangerous than Barnett from his back but Josh, much like Mir, is also dangerous in scrambles and transitional positions with his leg locks and the like (which he almost got Cormier in, and would have likely submitted Nogueira with).

kinda surprised Cormier is more of a favorite after the Starring fight, would have thought he would have stayed the same or dipped a little.

not that im giving Mir much of a chance just think thats kind of weird
