Daniel Cormier didn't get a bonus?

The only other person to ever control Dan Henderson like that was Jake Shields after almost getting knocked out, but Jake didn't finish Hendo. How could you rag-doll and then finish a still dangerous legend like Hendo and NOT get a performance of the night bonus? Not sure Dana is a Daniel Cormier fan. Looks like DC is getting the same respect Matt Brown has been given.

Btw, Dana just said a ref gave round 2 to Barao in the main event. WTF!

Its because he wrestled a lot. People hate wrestling when it's a good wrestler and not gsp

I'm pretty sure after a performance like that, there's a damn good chance he got his incentives beyond public eye.

As flawless as Cormier's performance was, there were many people that weren't surprised.

TJ defied betting odd and fan expectations, not only in beating Barao but in totally outclassing him.

From the pattern we've been noticing so far, it seems like 'Performance of the Night' takes expectations into account too.

Anderson Silva can masterfully dance around a 99 year old man for 3 rounds before knocking him out with a flying knee- but would that really warrant a performance of the night bonus?

That would be fantastically racist if he didn't have that interview the other day. I almost wish I didn't know what DC said so I could've laughed harder!!

He had about 30 pound advantage over Henderson

You have to do more than earn the new nickname "Daniel Boremier" to get a bonus.

Was pretty shocked hearing that. Performance of the Night just seems like a different name than KO or Sub... Mitch Clarke definitely doesn't deserve PERFORMANCE of the Night... Sub, yes.

Well, you knew TJ had to have a POTN locked up.

After that do you give it to the huge fav that came in there and performed as expected or do you give it to an underdog that pulled out a clutch sub?

I can see it both ways. I was more impressed with Cormier than Clarke though.

  13. I don't think out-grappling a 43 year old natural MW who one outweighs by 30 pounds deserves a performance bonus.

With that said, I can't wait to watch Cormier beat Jones.

They couldn't give DC the bonus (or Lawler or Ferguson for that matter) because Clarke gets beat up for almost 2 rnds and then no fight IQ having Iaquinta falls into a choke while side mounting Clarke and that is the PERFORMANCE of the night obviously. Better than DC dominating and finishing Hendo. Better than a Lawler tko victory over Ellenberger. Ridiculous...

Mitch Clarke getting it instead of Lawler or Cormier makes no sense

I agree that he should have definitely gotten a bonus, I think that the logic was that DC was such a huge favorite so it wasn't as big of a deal.

Wouldn't say the fight sucked, but those three or four awesome slams don't make up for the fact that there was a lot of slow motion wrestling.
