If he stays at HW he should fight the entire HW roster because he isn't going to fight Cain and he wants JBJ and can wait until JBJ goes HW then welcome him to the HW division. :D There are tons of HW for DC and if by chance Cain loses his belt by the slimmest chances Cormier can take his shot at whoever is HW champ.

Are you seriously comparing Mir's standup with Bigfoot and Barnett? Barnett doesn't have the boxing that Mir does and Bigfoot is a joke on the feet.

I do agree that Cormier is the best wrestler that Mir has faced, but does he the have the same GnP that someone like Lesnar or Carwin has? We'll see (I doubt it), that's why I asked the question. Question to you, has Cormier ever faced someone as good off his back as Mir?
 
Mir will test out his BJJ or use his technical boxing to test out DC's speed. decent fight and you people are retards. Who the FUCK else is he going to fight? Bones, Cain, Overeem , Bigfoot, Werdum, Mark fkn Hunt? all of them are scheduled to fight, beaten already, lower ranked, or too small of a name to fight/ scared (coughbones). Mir is the only one.

imo, DC will tear thru Frank Mir, and most, if not all, of the hw division besides cain. cain is a beast. i am not sure DC can beat cain, but the rest, i sure would like to see it.

DC needs to be fighting overeem. that was the fight that was supposed to be the SF HW GP title fight.
 
DC would put beating on Frank Mir badly.
 
I would like to see it. It would be a good test for Cormier.

Either Barnett or Bigfoot would Knock Mir out though. Who really cares if he has more technical stand up.

Mir has NO chin and we'll see that again if he fights Cormier.

Cormier will be at least a 3 to 1 favorite if this fight happens
 
Glad he is staying at HW, at least for now. I don't want Cormier to drop to LHW. If he does fight Jones down the line I want it to be at a catchweight or HW.

In the last 3 years/6 fights, Mir has 3 striking wins over guys who make their living with their striking (Roy, CroCop, Kongo) and 1 sub win over a legendary BJJ specialist (Nog).

Overeem is booked
Werdum is booked
He's long established he won't fight Cain

That leaves exactly 1 guy ranked higher than Mir available.
Not only is asking for the ex-champ in your debut asking a lot, but JDS is on a long suspension and ought to take more than 4 months turnaround after that beating.
 
I would really like to see this fight. Cormier is undoubtedly the favorite, but Mir is dangerous.

He is well rounded, he's just slower than the more athletic guys out there. He's at least top three in the HW division when it comes to subs and his standup is decent at worst. That being said, Daniel probably destroys him within two rounds.
 
Cormier should drop to LHW as soon as possible, he could destroy guys

He said in a previous interview he wants Mir because they were suppose to fight already. Also he said he knows Mir is a big name and he is not.

Who would you prefer? (real question)
 
This is disrespectful to Dion Starling.

I know he's a big favorite, but he should probably be concentrating on his upcoming fight instead of calling out Mir. He can do that if he wins.
