He was fine with it when Chuck beat Wandy tho
I'm not sure ignored is right, but I agree they should be heavily devalued.I agree with Dana. I don't normally agree with him, but this is gutless. If you want to take your opponent down, do it with 30 or 60 seconds left on the clock. This gives your opponent a chance to reverse the position or attempt a submission. Takedowns with 10 seconds left can't really be punished (minus flying knees).
Judges need to be ordered to ignore all takedowns in the last 10-20 seconds. It should be as though the round ended early.
Fleeing should be a deduction.Did he do that when his boi Conor Ran to Survive/Win rounds?

LW and WWWhich are these interesting divisions?
Unless there's clear damage after the takedown ... it basically shouldn't count. Like if you're losing a round and then get a takedown with 10 seconds left, there should be no scenario where that makes a difference.I'm not sure ignored is right, but I agree they should be heavily devalued.
So earning a dominant position is worth nothing unless damage is achieved? I don't agree with that philosophy, but hey what do I know.Unless there's clear damage after the takedown ... it basically shouldn't count. Like if you're losing a round and then get a takedown with 10 seconds left, there should be no scenario where that makes a difference.
The only time I would be OK with it counting, would be if a judge literally was 50/50 and had no idea who to score the round for. In that case, I'd be okay with the tiebreaker being the takedown.
