Dana would love to strip Khabib of the LW title and have Conor fight Tony Ferguson for it

Obviously Conor is a needle-mover and Khabib is not. Conor brings in the audience and money and Khabib just doesn't bring the level of excitement that Conor does. Although McGregor lost, Khabib's post-fight antics could get him stripped of the LW belt or a lengthy punishment and then the UFC strips Khabib. The UFC could say that Khabib's win was overturned to a no-contest or whatever else they decided on.

The UFC could strip Khabib of the belt, give the win to Conor and have Conor fight Tony Ferguson for the LW title. Or they could strip Khabib of the belt and not give Conor the win but have him fight Ferguson anyway. Fans have wanted to see Ferguson vs. Khabib or Ferguson vs. Conor for a long time and although this may be unfair the UFC has done plenty of unfair things in the past, remember, this isn't a sport, it's a business. Hell, the UFC gave Randy Couture a title shot at HW after coming off of a loss at LHW.
