There should be one with actual ground and pound allowed. Training for actual strikes would help overall in BJJ's evolution. A lot of sport BJJ tactics/strategies doesn't work in mma and real fights because there are no strikes allowed. So most build a game completely ignoring strikes and where they are open to strikes. An actual league with ground and pound allowed would change that. Even if all strikes during clinching is allowed would also be nice. You have to have control of a limb or be in a clinch in order to strike and all strikes on the ground are allowed. That may be a little much and too close to mma, so maybe just ground and pound would be an easier start. Like Bravo's Combat Jiu-Jitsu but with actual ground and pound and elbows, knees, and not just open palm strikes. It just seems so dumb.
I’d rather have a bJJ league with palm strikes and upkicks like with Eddie Bravo’s Combat Jiu Jitsu.
he has them signing disclaimers for sure..Dana really just doesn't get it. In 20 yrs when he is trying to get away from all this, people are going to be hounding him with CTE law suits like he's a war criminal.
