A lot of that money comes from sponsors that have decades long relationships with promoters and site fees paid by casinos
Boxing still draws in the gamblers so casinos are willing to lose money on the fight and make up for it at the gaming tables

Yeah I think Dana is overestimating the cross-over audience between MMA and boxing. And boxing fans are going to want to watch top fighters, not just a random assortment of whoever+UFC fighters boxing

Hard to say. Dana has the Las Vegas venue connections and been a promoter for a long time with a lot of contacts. Might be a total flop or maybe sneaky old Uncle Fester might have a trick up his sleeve. Will have to wait and see.
