agree. Hardcores don't matter when it comes to PPV buys. We like to think the sport caters to us, but we really don't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Men's MMA = Conor

Dana has always been preferential of Ronda at the expense of Conor whenever he has the opportunity. He keeps taking such sly digs at Conor. It kind of reminds of Sepp Blatter and Messi / Ronaldo.

In reality, Conor is way bigger than Ronda. Ronda is one fight away from becoming a has-been. She will be executed by Amanda Nunes next week xD !

There's a greater disparity in skill between WMMA and MMA than in other sports. There's plenty of women who play basketball and tennis, while in WMMA you can barely find 100 women worldwide that are training MMA professionally.

I agree with that, as hardcore fans can only get you so far, but to be more mainstream, it's the casual/crossover fans which help a ton.

As far as mainstream media attention no one really gets close to Ronda. Like it or not. Other than her though? Not really. As a whole men's MMA is clearly bigger, but Ronda is still a huge draw.

Thorough analysis. Because there aren't an equally larger number of men who play basketball, football, soccer, etc. than women. And get compensated way more in every other major sport.

But then again there's a much much bigger talent pool (not even comparable) in mens mma and Conor is the biggest draw. Aside from him it's cloudy situation though...I mean stacked card could beat those last wmma ratings but there would need to be multiple title fights or just Khabib/Ferguson level ones.
