If Cain beats Werdum and Jones beats Gus/Rumble, then Cain vs Jones is definitely the fight to make.
Because after Werdum, Cain has no one left to fight, and same goes for Jones if he beats Gus/Rumble.

So the ideal scenario would be Jones vs Cain (in which I believe would be the greatest superfight ever, at least in paper, even greater than Fedor vs Crocop), however this fight will never happen.
Dana White is not capable of making superfights happen, he simply can not make them.

Both Cain and Jones will put a lot of conditions for this fight, and Dana will be unable to make both of them happy.

    Fedor vs Couture
    Fedor vs Lesnar
    GSP vs Anderson
    Anderson vs Jones
    Rousey vs Cyborg

Some examples of super fights that never happened. Dana can not make super fights happen. The last super fight we had was GSP vs Bj Penn, 6 years ago.
Since then, he has done no one single super fight.

He is good at ranting and deciding who must retire, however he can not do his job in a good way. He is a very mediocre promoter actually.

Dana can't force fighters to sign with the UFC or make champs move weight classes therefore isn't a good promoter.

you are right he fails at putting superfights together. GSP vs Penn II was the exception because the lighter champion Penn moved up. Jones says he would fight Cain but I have my doubts.

UFC will try to sell us Browne vs Cain, Arlovski vs Cain, and maybe even Overeem vs Cain

Agreed, if only because it involves Cain fighting and Cain never fights.

At the rate Cain appears in the Octagon, there are probably 15 year old kids that will be HW contenders as far ahead as the TS is thinking.

Cain should give up his belt and drop down.

If jones moves to HW he'll make the fight. Your examples are stupid TS. Fedor didn't sign with the UFC and Cyborg asked to be released. Neither GSP or Silva were willing to move weight class and Silva had no interest in being destroyed by Jones.

Also, Fedor/CroCop was a good fight, nothing about it made it a super fight. It was 2 guys in the same class fighting, that's all.

It's not like Cain is moving down in weight if he beats all the top contenders.

Cain-Jones should happen if Jones beats the winner of Gus-Rumble and Cain beats Werdum.

If possible, Cain and Cormier should switch divisions.

Floyd Mayweather has moved up in weight many times to make big fights happen, ie the Alvarez fight.

Boxing makes the big fights happen unlike the UFC and Dana.

I think both Cain and Jones need to defend their own belt 2-3 more times before the Super Fight.
