And he’s absolutely 100% acknowledging in that video that he and Francis are having problems. “Francis and I are what we are, we will try to get it done”

Anyone who is paying attention knew this interim title was all about a contract issue he is currently having with Francis. Who is this idiot not having contract problems with these days?

Because they are not getting along. That’s Dana. His ego comes first. Squashing fighters and making sure he pays them as cheaply as possible always comes before any big fight. It’s always been that way.
 
It’s almost like they DONT want another Tyson, despite how much they honor him and feature him.
Conor got too big and Dana figured it out, after their win streak and the money, let them have time off and then throw them in their with a top contender.
Not saying Ngannou is like Conor because HW is a totally different situation…perhaps Dana doesn’t like foreign fighters or it’s easier to pay them less or something

I think Francis absolutely wants a big raise. He wants a brand new contract. It’s been pretty clear ever since the rumors started about the potential Jones fight.

What happened? Well here is a recap..

Dana won’t pay Jones

Francis says he and Jones should both make bank and then

Nothing happens

A few months later Dana is out of the blue doing a interim championship fight for the heavyweight title. Yeah he and Francis are fighting over money right now.

If he can’t get a deal done with Francis, Dana is laying the groundwork to proclaim the winner of this fight is the actual heavyweight champion of the world.

The bald goof strikes again..
 
Dana is such a passive aggressive little pig. Anyone who shows the slightest bit of independence, support for fellow fighters, and unwillingness to jump through hoops he throws them under the bus at every opportunity and of course denies ever doing so.
 
Dana gaslighting Ngannou to think he is not the worthy champ.

I think he wanted to use this to ease leverage/negotiation tactic in the future.

Dana did this to Khabib while they were together in Abu Dhabi "Conor and Porier 2 is trending", "you and Conor 2 will be the biggest fight ever."
