Dana saying in the FS1 interview the image of the sport isn't our top priority right now Jon Jones as a person is.....Is the the most unprofessional response any President/Commissioner has ever issued after one of their athletes has tested positive or been accused of something? Just a mind boggling response we get it Dana you care for Jon but that's not your JOB!!!!

DW being unprofessional ..old news, nothing to see here.

Some people on this forum tend to think because someone is "promoting" or is a promoter, he/she can be a liar, hypocrite, and act unprofessional all he wants. Anyone who questions it is because "you have no idea what promoter should do" LOL.

He should have answered the image of our sport is always our top priority. Everyone make mistakes we understand and totally support Jon with his struggles and will have his back the whole way. As for the sport one guy doesn't represent everybody.

That would have been good enough.

Protect at all cost at the expense of overall image of the organization and the sport of MMA? Please no.

Could you imagine how boring life would be if we had a "professional" CEO.

Lol, wrong. Dana got it right, and was not unprofessional. He didn't say image wasn't a priority. He said it wasn't top priority but rather jones well being, who is professionally employed by zuffa , is top priority. Please explain in more detail how a company concerned with the well being of their employees is unprofessional in this day and age

He's still far from being Brock or GSP, having Jones suspended wouldn't hurt them that much.

    This man gets it.

If my boss said she cared more about the image of our workplace than my well being, I'd load up CareerBuilder.com at the first opportunity.

Because it's pure bs. Where was this concern when Dana was throwing Jones under the bus for UFC 151? Dana treats his fighters like sh*t but now he's concerned for one fighter's well-being? If it wasn't one of their marquee champions he would just suspend or cut the poor bastard.

Has nothing to do with this thread. It doesn't matter if Dana believes it or not, this thread was about whether a statement by a company head was professional or not.

If you really believed your boss cares more about you than the company, you're a fool. Or do pretty words and lip service do it for you? Meanwhile they cut your benefits, require you to work more hours and don't hire for vacant positions, and you're fully expendable at the next economic downturn. But as long as she says your well-being is priority #1, you're good. That's why they have EAP which no one uses.
