this. Like, I don't lack the capacity for empathy, compassion or human connection. But there is a time and a place. I don't fight so I'm mainly talking shit here, but (aside from an initial touch of the gloves) I would hit someone trying to hug or high five me

I literally cringe when fighters do that hugging at the beginning of the third. I always scream something like "OKAY! ENOUGH!!!" I would only tolerate it- and maybe enjoy it- if teammates or really good friends were going at it. Either tap gloves or don't, but the hugging has to go.
