I think the lowest level fighter in the UFC should make 20 grand just to show.

That's very low for a potential champion.

If she does all the press and makes it a good fight, i am sure they will take care of her. You guys all scoff at the locker room bonuses but fighters have confirmed they are real and can be very lucrative.. She could make 24 grand before any sponsor money or potential bonus money from the UFC.. That's not bad..

I wonder how the UFC will promote Liz headlining a UFC card lol. They would probably put her on Fuel Tv card

You know how Dana White can end this? Give us something! Anything. You don't have to post a picture of the check on Twitter, you don't even have to give us an exact figure, just give us a ball park of these alleged "behind the scenes bonuses" that you claim the fighters get.

He is so afraid of a potential riot that might start if he says one fighter makes much more than their contract states (which wouldn't happen anyway) but if everyone is making that much, why would there be such a thing?

I honestly believe Dana to an extent that if the fight is a good war he'll give Liz Carmouche at least $50,000. But just come out and say something along those lines.

They don't like to talk numbers but sounds like it can be quite significant according to Bisping..

"To be honest, it makes me mad, because people don't understand," said Bisping. "I've worked hard, and I get [the amount stipulated in the contract], but when Dana comes into the locker room and gives me a check afterwards, they don't have to do that. Far from it. I was already very happy with the money I was getting, but then they'll hand you another check on top of that and say, 'Well done...good job,' and there'll be another huge check inside the envelope."

I'm sure she's paying whatever the UFC wants to pay her.

It's up to her to get the bonuses in her contract involved with KO's, submissions, PPV buys, promotion, trash talking, etc.

I know there is Rhonda (The loud one), Gina (The hot one), Meisha (The surgery face one), Cyborg (The butch one).

Maybe they should start a girl group and liz could be the 'mysterious one'.

    As in "Who is she?"

that's ridiculous, so they should pay guys 60-120,000 a year that no one even knows? Not even including the possibility of sponsors, bonus pay, undisclosed pay and etc?

Paying prelim fighters that amount would be crippling to the Ufc bottom line.

The bottom line is this is an oppurtunity. People want big guarantees but that is not how the UFC works unless you are a big star. Lets say Liz really comes to scrap and gets FOTN and hell even wins the fight.. Well 70-75 FOTN bonus plus the show and win money is almost 100 G's.. That's pretty sweet... And there is sponsor money added in and she may get more from the UFC in bonus..

Absolutely, I am sure he does take care of some people. Here's my issue with that system.

A guy could train his ass off for 2 months, spend a lot of money on a camp, and then get dropped 3 minutes into the fight. It doesn't mean he didn't give it all in his fight, just as much as a guy who battled it out for 15 minutes with the opponent, but do you think he's giving that KO victim a bonus?

Yes, the two fighters who had the decision war deserve more of a bonus, but it's the guy I'm describing, and if that was his second straight loss he may even be out of a job, that may need that money more. $12,000 to show up probably won't cover everything he put into that fight, and just because he got caught he's viewed as expendable and simply earning that low figure.

Why? Where do you come up with this figure? Are you talking about 20 grand just from the UFC, or total income from a fight? Would you be OK with the UFC laying off half their employees, and cutting back on total number of shows per year, and keeping the UFC in North America only in order to pay this 20 grand minimum?

I personally would rather the UFC seek to employ as many people as possible, and pump as much money into the economy through events as possible, and see them paying the lowest amount that skilled fighters are willing to fight for. Why pay more than the going rate? It doesn't make sense.

Do you walk in to restaurants and ask why they don't pay your servers more money?
