I think Bellator would score a big win by signing an agreement with the culinary union and get the sport sanctioned in NY.

It's not like NY is against fight sports. Just work with the unions and they let you in. They already have boxing and Glory kickboxing.

That would still be the unions conceding to the UFC. NY would not just be sanctioning Bellator, but ALL of MMA. Which means, the UFC still wins.

And really, why should anyone work with the unions and their pocketed politicians? All the other states are sanctioning MMA. They really don't have a logical argument against it at this point.
 
It's a fairly weak card, let's be honest. I'm not paying $34.99 for it. Hell I'm skipping 173 and 174!

Strikeforce were put up for sale by their owners (note Scott Coker wasn't in favour, but he was in the minority). Strikeforce were in trouble after starting to haemorrhage money with that ill-advised M-1 deal. It's not like Zuffa came in with a silly money offer just to put them down.

It's just nuts that Dana has to automatically treat Bellator as the enemy. I'm sure by now there's been plenty of things said from both sides, but I'd guarantee that this all started with Dana not liking Bjorn because he's the competition.

The guy is a straight up little kid at times.

White thinks he's the star of the UFC and has placed his ugly bald head in anything UFC related yet he calls Rebney an attention whore. Ok.

It's illegal because the culinary union feels it should be allowed access to private businesses and is bribing or threatening officials in New York to prevent MMA from being legally sanctioned.

The Fertitas can run their businesses any way they want. The unions in the US have gotten so far out of control in the last 50 years, it's actually funny...

If someone absolutely has to be a union member in a casino, they have plenty of other options. The Fertita casinos are pretty much the only major chain left that is outside of union control.

The unions were a great concept back when their were no laws protecting employees from unfair treatment or unsafe work enviroments. There are now a wide variety of federal and state laws (or federal/provincial in Canada) that speak directly to employee rights. The unions need to die a quiet death....
 
OMG More sad that the CEO of a multimillionaire mainstream company behaving as an unprofessional bully, is seeing the kids that bought that dana is cool and tell it like it is we should be thankful he invented mma (or ufc, which by the way are synonims right?).

Bjorn acts like Bellator is a big deal but they just sit back and let the UFC get things done then slide in the backdoor acting like they helped.

But lets be real Bellator aint making any money, they are about to flop on PPv and lose money so its foolish of us to think they are gonna be out here spending money to help the sport.

I know Bjorn/Dana the whole beef but it would benefit Bellator if mma was legal in NY cause it would be a new market opened up. WHen a market is new we've seen how hot it is at first with ticket sales so Bellator could go to upstate NY and probably sell out shows. But just to take shots at Dana and UFC he supports the union keeping mma out of NY.

But this guy says how he is all about the sport, whats best for the sport and fans. Guess not, guess he doesnt care about fans in NY being able to go to events in their home state.

Dana has no respect for Bjorn/Bellator and shouldn't.

They can't even put a single PPV together.

The only way Bellator or Bjorn even get any media attention is by bringing up the UFC.
