Dana White provides damning update on Conor McGregor’s UFC future

Dana is going to hold up Conor's entire future career. Conor absolutely does not want to and likely physically can't compete in MMA at a high level anymore.

I'm positive he'd love to jump on the Jake Paul/social media boxing train, but Dana is going to hold the two remaining fights on his contract over his head for as long as legally possible, even though he knows Conor can't fight anymore.

Would Conor still sell PPV's? Yeah I think so. Once you get to that level of stardom and popularity it doesn't just go away. He wouldn't pull numbers like he did vs Khabib but he could probably still sell a million.

Is he ever coming back? That's a pretty obvious fuck no and has been for years. He's an alcoholic and drug addict. Not a professional fighter anymore.

Conor's next fight will be a celebrity power slap bout with Nate Diaz. They'll make a BMF equivalent slap belt and it'll outsell most UFC PPVs in 2027.

He’d still sell, for sure. Average person doesn’t know what a Topuria is or what DDP stands for.

But a lot of people know the name McGregor and that’s what’s gonna count in PPVs.

And From a marketing standpoint every fight from now on can be spun as the possible beginning of a career renaissance. Many ways to sell it.
Also, average person still thinks Conman is one of, if not THE, "best fighters ever". Currently. . . . -_-

Duhhh, anyone who thinks he's coming back is completely delusional.
And I couldn't care less if he did he's completely irrelevant.

Let's not pretend Danar wouldn't have his ass back in a heartbeat and whatever weight class he wanted probably for a title shot

He’s never fighting in the UFC again. Pulling out of the Chandler fight made that all too clear.
Dude, Conor had a legit injury. Apparently he caught the coffee table with his pinky toe. It's one of the worst injuries anyone can suffer.

I think a lot of fighters in Conor's shoes would be doing the same thing.

MMA isn't an easy sport and if your making more money doing something else and your level commitment isn't anywhere near what it was 15 years ago there isn't much of a point in doing it. Even his coach has said that for years now with Conor. He could see Conor's commitment to the sport wasn't there anymore. Conor's PR team has had great game plan over the years to keep Conor's star power high even though he does zero in the game that got him to be a star in many years.

Even look at someone like PVZ, she made more money in a year on Only fans than her whole fighting career. Sure, she dabbled back into combat sports a few times with not great results. Maybe her slap career will be better. I think she truly only steps back into the this world simply because she hasn't found any other way to get her name out there. But if she had something else like Conor does we won't be seeing her doing that shit.

Most fighters would love to have Conor's money and stardom and literally not have to step in the cage ever again.
