It doesn't look like he will be back in the UFC. Not any time soon, and probably not ever in my estimation. Would he still sell big PPVs if he came back? Only one win (Cerrone) since the Obama presidency still?

He’d still sell, for sure. Average person doesn’t know what a Topuria is or what DDP stands for.

But a lot of people know the name McGregor and that’s what’s gonna count in PPVs.

And From a marketing standpoint every fight from now on can be spun as the possible beginning of a career renaissance. Many ways to sell it.

Dana trying to light a fire under Conor for the debut on their next platform. Still doubt Conor will fight though

In the same way bozos would still buy a Mike Tyson exhibition, sure.

Conor is timeless as a name. Even tainted by scandal people would watch. It would just suck ass, that's all.

That’s funny cause I was thinking exactly of Mike Tyson when typing out that post

He’s never fighting in the UFC again. Pulling out of the Chandler fight made that all too clear.

He’d still sell. But he’s not coming back. He gets older every year in a young man’s game. He’ll try to stay relevant, but without fighting. Even his fans will forget about him soon enough.

Yeah, he is still easily the most likely MMA fighter that any random person on the street would know.
