Dana White calls UFC who disagree with the Okami Cut, F****** Idoits

Just last year:

I was reading Twitter tonight, and these people were ripping on the flyweights. Let me tell you what, if you didn't like that flyweight fight, please, I'm begging you, don't ever buy another UFC pay-per-view again

Don't ever buy another one. I don't want your money. You're a moron. You don't like fighting, and you don't appreciate great talent or heart, if you didn't like that flyweight fight.

I for one took him up on that and haven't ordered a pay per view since and don't see myself doing it any time soon.

Think for a second how much it costs people to watch basketball for a year, then think how much it costs for ONE PPV per year. Now lets say you actually order 2-3 cards a year and stream, or go to the bar for the rest. Anyone who pays that much is a pretty good fan.

The Cleveland Browns have been the worst team in football over the past decade. They fill a stadium that seats 73,200 with tickets that cost about $40 bucks on the low end eight times a season. (Factor in $25 parking and $8 beers and things get expensive in a hurry. The fan cost index is about $300.) At least four of those games are terrible weather and there is no dome.

The Cleveland Cavs have a few very fun players, but they've been a losing team since LeBron took his talents to Miami. They sell 18K tickets that cost on average $56 41 times a year. Fans pay this to watch a team that will almost certainly lose.

None of this changes the fact that MMA fans on average are the biggest whiners in the sports world.

At the end of the day, we have to remember that this sport is run by casino owners and will never be run like a legit ML sport. I think the only idiots here are people who believe everything Dana says.

Okami looked scared to even fight against jacare, good riddance.

This why I stopped supporting the UFC and just watch events for free.

Dana relies on the fighters and fans to stay rich but constantly insults them.

Well to be fair Dana have never said fans are morons or idiots.
He always talk about idiots on internet and on twitter never fans.
And I am pretty sure a lot of these so called idiots are not really fans they just like to bash and whine and bitch.

I my self don't care what Dana says, he says a lot of stupid things and talks a lot of BS but thats part of his job. I watch UFC for the fighters and the fights.

its just wrong, Fitch had a draw and another loss in his last fights so it was different.

I love when Sherdog's retards get called idiots by Dana, and then cry about it.

Pretty sure he said the cost to watch an event, not the cost to attend one. Pretty big difference in my humble opinion.

Glad to know i am an F'N idiot for believing that a guy who was a top ten MW, with wins in his last 3 out of 4 fights deserved to be cut after making only 42K to show, while guys like Leben make more money than Okami and get to keep their job after losing 4 out of his last 5 fights, including three straight. You are the smart one and never wrong i guess.

Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down like toy soldiers
Bit by bit, torn apart, we never win
But the battle wages on for toy soldiers

look, if we would come to an agreement that is reasonable and two sided, then it's very simple. I'd fight in the UFC, there would be no problem fighting for the UFC. We were able to come to an agreement with affliction, we were able to come to an agreement with M-1 global, it's no that difficult. But their terms, and what they wanted were too one sided and they don't treat fighters like people. If it was reasonable and two sided, then there would be no problem, I'd be fighting there tomorrow.

Dana should probably use more tact, but he's essentially right. Okami is never going to wear the belt, is never going to sell tickets outside his own friends and family, and can only derail contenders on the way up. He's as Fitch as Fitch himself. He can probably be a big draw in another org. This cut is probably good for everyone.

The UFC is simply not a sport as long as top 10 fighters can get released on a whim. Fighting style should not be dictated. That is supposed to be the point of MMA in the first place.

There are a lot of idiot fans. Can this be denied?

there are alot of idiot fans but those idiot fans pay $65 for the PPV cards.
steve jobs would never call the people who sleep outside apple stores to buy his product "f'n idiots". that's the difference between a real company and the most valuable brand in the world and zuffa.

phil knight would never call the fans of his company "f'n idiots"

Okami is on the decline not a draw and this is just like the Jon Fitch cut if he loses outside the octagon people won't complain. I think it's a blessing in disguise for Okami he can make more money being a bigger fish in a little pond in smaller orgs than being a UFC gatekeeper

Dana White. Successful troll is successful.

He just got everyone talking about him and his brand.

If contenders get derailed, then they are not GOOD enough. There should be nothing wrong with that.
