News Dana White and UFC is making record revenues, massive growth in 2024

Well they have a card like every 20 minutes now so

I hate the UFC production style, the commentary, the whole package. I only tune in for special fights, and don't watch a full card just because it's so annoying (being screamed at by nasal voices)

But you have to give the UFC a lot of credit. They've tapped into the style of promotion that the masses like, and they've delivered on lots of big fights.

Dana and Co. know how to run a successful business, the conglomerate that bought them for 4 billion must be rubbing their hands right now.

If only the UFC making more money actually means anything for anyone other than themselves. The fighters get nothing, we get charged more for the same product. Funny how they continue to earn more money while ticket prices, PPV prices, and ESPN+ prices keep rising. It's like if a company charged $50 one year for something suddenly charged $75 the next year. "Oh my gosh, guys, we earned 50% more year over year. That's so crazy how that happened!".

I don't think it's getting more fans, I just think the prices went up due to inflation and the fighters are still being paid what they were being paid 10 years ago. I don't think we've had a million plus PPV this year.

That conglomerate is using the UFC to pay its losses in other avenues, they are praying Dana and co still have what it takes to expand.
I miss the Fertitas though. Anyone who has a contract specifying that boardroom disputes are settled on the mat, no gi, is someone i'd want to work for.

Yet TKO has yet to show growth, making a little more and still have the court case against UFC and Vince's WWE, surprised stock up.. I would like to see them expand, buy a boxing promotion. I heard they wanted more a carnival atmosphere so let them buy Monster Jam, The Monster Truck Rally.

How do they do it? tv and sponsorship deals? advertising?

Half the shows are at the Apex center so no gates. PPV numbers arent made public anymore but its hard to believe they're doing particularly great on average.

Maybe they've tapped into new markets but as far as America is concerned I dont buy for one second that MMA is anywhere near as popular as it was 15 years ago.

Genuinely baffled at the growth rate. the ufc hasnt really done anything significant to attract the masses, its been good (the fights and the roster) for fans who were around prior to 2020

Can you imagine a kid growing up dedicating all of his time to playing basketball. To go through college and enter draft, get an agent, to get drafted and make 10k to show? Highway robbery what red goof does. He learned from the best.

UFC started making much more money with the Apex cards. They don't have to buy out an expensive arena for a shitty card like they used to probably lose money on. Not to mention the dilution of regular cards.
