They are all taking something at wwe. Working like 45 weeks on the road, injuries etc. they are on "supplements".

and yet every report is that their drug testing is hilariously strict and happens very often.

It's a conflict of interest for them to be handling it anyway.

Thy also have a team of doctors and therapists on retainer to help out.
There drug testing is also completely random and spontaneous (I've worked with a few wrestlers, some have gotten popped and suspended, others came out clean... that time)

At least he's not putting spin on it.

It was a great idea, just wasn't handled so well.

Not often that Uncle Dana admits that the UFC got something wrong. Of course he divorces himself from it by saying our "legal team" screwed it up. It sounds like he just wanted out of the whole thing and is glad to put any further screw-ups on the commission.

Don't see why they can't reach an agreement with VADA to handle testing.

If you've seen their testing standards, you'd know why. It allows for some ridiculous ratios and you still pass. They also only test if there is a cause for concern or to save face.

People will rag on the UFC and Dana for it but they really don't need to drug test at all. MMA is regulated by the government and it is the state's athletic commissions responsibility to fund and drug test performers.

Well they could just stop using the services Bumfuck, dribble and CO and pay for some proper testing.

WWE does it to check if levels are extreme enough to reach a point of possibly killing themselves or be effected enough in a match to potentially hurt their opponent. That have little concern if trace level of most substances all even exist on the test.

Lol @ this pointless Dana bashing, Do you think Dana came up with the idea on his own, implemented it on his own, executed it on his own and then blamed the legal team when it went wrong?

Zuffa is now a billion dollar company but they are going to get their President/Promoter to oversee all the drugtesting.

    I'm not so sure.

You know sometimes your girlfriend or somebody will ask you to do something for them, and you purposely do a bad job, hoping never to be asked again.. I wouldn't be surprised if UFC is trying this.

I don't understand. The Cung Le test was not out of competition. The UFC is still going to have events in places that have no commission. They are forced to self regulate in those places. What are they going to do? Allow roids for all the foreign shows?

suuure, drug testing is the whole reason Vince McMahon admitted that pro wrestling is fake. If it was a sport the athletic commissions were going to start drug testing the performers, so he admitted the bouts were all predetermined in order to avoid all of that. Self-governed drug tests are a complete joke. If it isn't the AC, it doesn't mean anything.
