Joe Soto was very underrated coming into that fight and was a totally different style of opponent then what TJ trained for. He kept his composure, took some good shots, and knocked Soto out impressively. Considering the circumstances, he looked very good in his first defense.

I suppose we will just have to draw implications from barao/dillashaw 1. The fight in which TJ shmammered some serious man beating onto Barao.
