So it's not possible that he felt 1 way in the cage immediately after the DQ win and felt another way hours after processing everything and realizing he's the UFC BW champ no matter how he got it?

Why should he lie to get a win if he could continue? That’s cheating too (if he could continue).
 
Yan is the champ. Everyone knows it. Sterling got smoked faster than a joint at a frat party. He was the beneficiary of a retarded rule; you dumbasses can start whatever threads you want but the fact is that these sorts of things should go to early decisions, not just handing the belt to someone. Being able to continue diminished. Why should a fighter be expected to fight in a diminished capacity after a flagrantly illegal act?
 
Aljamain should take some time off and try his hand at Hollywood while Yan mulls over what he did to himself.

As said, a gamble. But UFC pays for shit, and Sterling might never be able to touch gold anyway outside of this moment and is utterly unlikely to become one of the chaps who enters the true Star paylevel - so this fight and the next could easily become a drastically significant part of his lifetime MMA earnings. So, take the money. He's not having something like Smith's broadcast deal to protect, so weighing between getting shitcanned by Dana as soon as possible and the Championship status (all casuals will forget this in a week or two, except if Dana keeps bringing it up - if they even know about it) even if short lived, will open doors for more Dollar.

He just better hope that he doesn't suffer any sort of injury, cause we will know that he's gonna get stripped faster than Chrissy Blair in Lorenzo's suite if that happens. :)

You guys forget the ref could have taken two points and then the fight is even. He had even worse case than Smith, who was losing every round, this would've been even to the 5th with one judge having Aljo 3:1.
I actually think his tears were real. Now watch him try to defend the belt against Cory.

Depends on the person dude. Some people are OKAY for doing what's best for themselves. They don't give a shit about what other people think. You think Diego gave a shit when he took his W when he got DQed from Michael Pereira?

I think it's petty for people to be salty about a fighter who takes the W for an illegal shot. The fighter did the most reasonable and logical thing in this situation. If he/she didn't, it would be an ego battle. Ego battles don't end well in the real world and in the fight world. Bite your ego, take the W, just like walking away from some guy talking shit to you on the street.
