It's just that GSP might be more difficult to deal % wise, than most of UFC rosters, and Dana may be pissed about that. He needs GSP in WW or LW because UFC needs a bankable act on those divisions.
Khabib and Conor are enough for LW, and GSP is not gonna bring much more numbers fighting in LW.

He did. If Conor hadn't beaten Aldo the way he did he would have never had the leverage to fight for a title at 155 and skip the line completely.

Also add the fact that he came into the UFC as a two divisional champ. It made perfect sense.

Difference is that Conor had fought at LW before in his career and was the LW champ in Cage Warriors. DC also has had a very successful heavy weight run before in Strikeforce. GSP has never fought at 155. It's a huge risk. Khabib vs GSP is a joke fight to make because both fighters have a high chance of missing weight or getting injured before hand and the UFC has a lot to lose if this fight is booked but things go wrong. If it's 170 or at catchweight I can understand the match making though.
