Maia’s fights look horrible when he’s unable to take it to ground. This was almost worse than when he fought Silva.
This division is terrible thenHe's still top ten easy.
.
Usman didn't lose.if you want to cut demian you have to cut usman too
What fight were you watching? Usman chased him around the ring all night, Maia was running away at some points...Why? Maia was the one who forced most of the action. Usman never went for the kill.
Stop blaming Maia for his opponents avoidance gameplans. Silva, Woodley, and Usman all fought like cowards because they didn't have confidence in the rest of their game.

U mean... A BJJ dude needs to get the fight to the...ground?...
Know who the common factor is in the Silva/Woodley/Usman fights? Maia is.
Maia has had all these stinkers because he's refused to expand on his MMA game and just sticks to BJJ, which is fine, but don't act like it's everyones fault but his that they don't engage him on the ground.
Look at Werdum, a guy who when he started was just pure BJJ but then decided to incorporate a lot more Muay Thai into his game and he has a KO win over Mark fucking Hunt now
If you want to fight on the ground it's on you to get it there, flopping to your back and basically begging your opponent to get on top of you is nobodies fault but your own.
ahhh..what a scare...Lol. What are you talking about?
Obviously that's what a BJJ fighter would try to do. I am just saying his stand-up and TD technics are really bad.
