Jesus fucking Christ, is he painful to watch if he can't get his fights to the ground or what?

I respect Maia, but they should never put him in a main event ever again. He should've announced his retirement tonight. Fans don't ever deserve that kind of main event

if you want to cut demian you have to cut usman too

He's still top ten easy.

Would like to see him vs. Cowboy, who will probably lose to Edwards.

Ya. He is not a contender anymore. I hope they just give him matches that would be stylistically fun to watch. meaning... no more wrestlers

Why? Maia was the one who forced most of the action. Usman never went for the kill.

Stop blaming Maia for his opponents avoidance gameplans. Silva, Woodley, and Usman all fought like cowards because they didn't have confidence in the rest of their game.

Blame it on usman. Dude was to scared to gnp Maia and didn't even rly do shit to Maia on the stand up. It's usmans fault lol

That's the irony about wrestlers. When they face Jiu-Jitsu guys, they don't tend to win on the ground, even with G&P, but on the feet from tagging an exhausted opponent who they've avoided grappling with.

Maia is tailor made for Cerrone, he doesn't have great takedowns and he doesn't have good enough striking to stop Cerrone from getting into a rhythm. Cerrone would destroy him, it'd be one of those fights that makes Cerrone look like a world beater.

Do people even watch fights? People, no matter how good they appear will always avoid Maias ground game. It makes the fights look weird because they get scared of him. Makes the fight look even more strange when the guy (Usman) eats a hard left hand in the first round and gets really defensive.

Doesn't matter anyways, usman didn't do shit on the stand up game too.

Maia has very good takedowns. He should be able to get Cowboy down. All of last 3 fights were physically atrong wrestlers

Lol what did you expect?

Maia is 40 years old and never used any steroids. Usman and Woodley are definitely on something. And Usman fought like garbage.

Cerrone has very good TDD, Maia wouldn't likely take him down and Cerrone is very good off his back so even if he did one TD would be unlikely to be enough.
